5 Winter Essentials

In South Africa we experience very dry winters, so your skin needs every drop of moisture it can get. Recently I have been loving these 5 beauty products during winter to keep my skin moisturized and hydrated.

Coconut oil has to be my all time favorite beauty product. It’s so versatile and can be used for literally anything, even to cook with. Before I shower and wash my hair, I make sure to heat a bit of coconut oil in my hands and run it through my hair to act as a hair mask. Even once my hair is blow dried, I sometimes go back in with the smallest amount of coconut oil and run it through the ends of my hair if it needs a bit more shine and softness.

Apart from using it on your hair, coconut oil is great to shave with if your skin is extremely dry and a bit sensitive in the winter months. You could use coconut oil to whiten your teeth by oil pulling and you could use coconut oil as a cuticle oil and all over body oil.

My ultimate go-to lip products throughout summer and especially the winter months are EOS and the Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil from Clarins. My favorite EOS lip balms are the cooco butter ones, the lemon flavored ones which have SPF, and the mint ones which I love for the summer months.

The Clarins Lip Oil can be a bit sticky if you’re not used to wearing lip gloss. However, before I go to bed, I tie my hair up in a bun and put the lip oil on. The lip oil is also great for those days when your lips feel extremely dry and look as if in the need for lip ice.

The Fenjal collection is one of my all time favorite bath and body cream scents, and smells luxurious on the skin. Apart from it’s spa like scent, It’s extremely moisturizing without feeling greasy.
